Project background
SSAB is a global, highly specialised steel manufacturer whose growth relies on close customer relationships and continuous product innovation. The company develops advanced high-strength steels and provides services that enhance efficiency and sustainability across multiple industries.
SSAB is a leading international producer of advanced high-strength steels (AHSS) and quenched & tempered steels (Q&T) in the form of strips, sheets, and tubes, as well as comprehensive construction solutions. Thanks to SSAB’s products and services, customers’ end products are lighter, stronger, and more durable.
The company owns globally recognised product brands such as Hardox, SSAB Special Steels, Greencoat, and SSAB Armor, which operate within a single, extensive digital ecosystem.

How to ensure continuous, consistent, and high-quality content management across a single global website ecosystem:
serving 25 markets and language versions,
managed simultaneously by multiple local teams,
covering the SSAB corporate brand as well as numerous product brands,
while maintaining consistency in communication, structure, and content quality.

Dedicated Sitecore content management team
For this project, we established a permanent Sitecore editorial team that has supported SSAB since 2017 in daily content management. The team performs key operational and quality tasks, ensuring the continuity of the global website ecosystem.
The scope of work includes:
- entering and editing content in Sitecore according to defined procedures,
- ensuring quality of text, graphics, and video across all language versions,
- publishing content for three main production divisions:
- SSAB Special Steels,
- SSAB Europe,
- SSAB Americas,
- collaboration with SSAB product brands: Strenx, Hardox, Docol, Toolox, Armox, and Greencoat,
- ongoing graphic design work.
Global content consistency
Centralised content management and clearly defined editorial processes ensure a consistent SSAB brand message across all countries while accommodating local market needs.
Training and collaboration with SSAB teams
A key aspect of our collaboration is regular training sessions for SSAB teams and joint work to improve editorial processes. This enables effective use of the Sitecore platform and continuous enhancement of published content quality.
Project scope
Analysis: understanding the structure of the global website ecosystem, publication processes, and the needs of local teams.
Content management: day-to-day editorial work, publishing, updates, and maintaining content quality across multiple language versions.
