There is no single formula – the process depends on the project’s goals and context. It usually includes:
- analysis of needs and objectives,
- development of design principles (colours, typography, styles),
- creation of a component library with documentation,
- implementation and ongoing system maintenance.
The scope depends on the project, but most often a design system includes:
- a library of components designed and available in Figma,
- documentation describing components (e.g., Confluence, Storybook),
- an HTML component library ready to use during website implementation.
Not necessarily. One of the greatest advantages of a design system is its flexibility – even after a rebrand, you can continue working based on existing structures.
