A dedicated business application is the right choice when there is no ready-made solution or service that meets your company’s needs, or when an off-the-shelf system has limited functionality or is too costly to maintain.
Building a custom application is most often driven by:
- Organisational growth that renders existing applications (most often based on MS Excel or Power Apps) insufficient and impossible to scale.
- The need to automate processes and implement approval workflows.
- The necessity to integrate various data sources and make them available to selected users.
If a client uses an outdated, inefficient, or hard-to-maintain solution, we support them in migrating to a modern version. This typically involves building a new application based on the existing data model but using modern technologies. If needed, we extend the model with additional information and gradually move business functions to the new system. After the migration is complete, we optimise the data layer.
Business applications usually consist of multiple modules. We recommend implementing new solutions in stages – this way, end users receive business value faster, and the client can validate assumptions and introduce improvements in subsequent modules.
