VUE International is one of the leading cinema operators in the world. The group manages some of the most recognized cinema brands across key European markets and Taiwan, including Multikino – a very popular brand in Poland. Since its early days, the company’s growth has been driven by a commitment to delivering top-tier entertainment by combining great content, cutting-edge technology, and exceptional cinema experiences.
Our partnership with VUE began with a project delivered for Multikino – which we describe in a separate case study. The success of that collaboration led to us being entrusted with an even more ambitious and complex challenge.
Challenge
Creating a centralised e-commerce platform for five European markets
Streamlining the sharing, evaluation and mapping of locally developed ideas
Supporting the creation of a unified growth strategy across the entire organization
VUE International needed a unified e-commerce platform that could facilitate efficient collaboration between teams operating in five different markets – Italy, Germany, Poland, Lithuania, and Latvia. The new solution was expected to not only support the evaluation and mapping of local initiatives but also enable the development of a consistent, long-term strategy across the organization.

We implemented a multinational e-commerce platform based on Sitecore (v 8.1), creating a consistent yet flexible environment for all five markets. The project was based on:
- A shared user interface
- A single code repository
- Country-specific customization of functionalities
A critical element of the implementation was the integration with various ticketing systems – Vista, Eurobilet, and Crea – as well as ongoing technical support and service-level guarantees (SLA).
Project scope
Analysis: Understanding VUE’s business goals and operational model across markets; identifying integration needs with local ticketing and payment systems.
Solution design: Preparing project assumptions, wireframes, and full technical and functional documentation.
Development: Building and maintaining a shared codebase; integrating with payment systems (Vista, Eurobilet, Crea), CRM, intranet and BI tools; conducting integration and UAT testing in all markets.
DevOps: Setting up environments on the global AWS platform, configuring security protocols, monitoring the solution, providing L2/L3 support and ensuring SLA compliance.
