How to Increase Conversions in Game Sales?
Client: MUVE
Location: Warsaw, PL
Cooperation since: 2014
Project: muve.pl (e-commerce, gamification, community)
Scope of cooperation: Sitecore, e-commerce, personalisation, loyalty program, web analytics
Project background
Muve.pl is a modern online store (marketplace) designed for digital entertainment enthusiasts and one of the leading e-commerce platforms for digital games in Central Europe. Present on the market for over 10 years, Muve has built an innovative ecosystem for the digital distribution of games and digital products. It is also a direct distribution partner of the world’s leading publishers, including Cenega, Take-Two, Bandai Namco, Bethesda, Capcom, CD Projekt Red, Nintendo, and Netflix.
Muve offers a wide selection of computer games for various platforms as well as other digital products, including top-up codes and prepaid cards. Notably, in December 2011, Muve became the first in Poland to launch a digital distribution service for PC and MAC games – and remains the market leader in this category to this day.
Solution
We began with a Discovery workshop to identify the client’s key business needs and select the technology best suited to address them. Based on this, we developed a solution concept that would enable Muve not only to operate effectively in its key markets, but also to expand its offering in the area of digital products and B2B collaboration.
We designed and implemented a new, fully responsive version of muve.pl, built on the Sitecore platform, to ensure more efficient content management, content personalisation, and seamless integration with other systems. A key element of the solution was the development of an advanced API, enabling Muve’s B2B partners to distribute games and digital products.
At the same time, we designed and implemented the “The Company of Gamers” loyalty program, using gamification mechanisms to increase customer engagement.
Results
Our solution enabled muve.pl to expand its offering with games and digital products from the world’s leading publishers and distributors. In addition, Muve became a source of digital products for smaller e-commerce solutions – all thanks to a dedicated e-commerce platform based on Core IG.
With a design tailored to the target audience and the use of gamification elements, both user engagement and conversion rates increased. The solution proved to be a stable foundation for further growth – both from a business and technological perspective.
Since the platform’s launch in 2015, we have continued to support Muve’s digital operations through ongoing backend development, evolving the service in line with new business needs (including additional integrations). The loyalty program we designed successfully achieved its goals by expanding Muve’s customer base and strengthening customer loyalty. It was later phased out and replaced with new marketing initiatives aligned with the evolving needs of Muve’s target audience.
