Project background
CERT Orange Polska (Computer Emergency Response Team) is a specialised unit within Orange Polska, responsible for monitoring, detecting, and responding to cybersecurity threats across the operator’s entire network. The team also plays a key educational role, regularly publishing security alerts, expert analyses, and periodic reports on the state of cybersecurity in Poland.
The previous version of the cert.orange.pl website was based on a custom CMS built on the Symfony framework. While the solution fulfilled its basic functions, over time it began to generate challenges related to maintenance, further development, and operational costs. As a result, Orange Polska decided to modernize the CERT platform, opting for a solution that would offer greater scalability, security, and cost efficiency while maintaining high content quality and consistency with the brand’s digital ecosystem.
Challenge
The goal of the project was to create a modern, stable, and easy-to-maintain platform that would strengthen CERT Orange’s position as a trusted source of knowledge on cybersecurity and serve as a central communication hub in this area. A key challenge was combining high security standards with technological flexibility and optimised maintenance costs.

The new website https://cert.orange.pl/, was implemented using WordPress – a proven, open-source solution that provides high flexibility, extensive development capabilities, and long-term technological stability. The platform was designed to strike a balance between scalability, ease of content management, and cost efficiency.
On the frontend layer, an existing website template was used and adapted to the current Orange Polska brand guidelines, ensuring visual consistency across the brand’s digital channels. The solution enables the editorial team to quickly publish content, updates, and security alerts without the need to involve technical teams.
The new version of the CERT Orange website offers:
- a modern, clear, and fully responsive interface,
- simplified navigation and improved user experience (UX),
- search engine optimisation (SEO),
- the ability for users to interact with content (comments),
- a visually consistent design emphasising the brand’s expert character.
The website serves as the central communication platform for CERT Orange, enabling:
- publication of security alerts and information on current threats,
- sharing educational content and best practices,
- access to annual cybersecurity reports,
- presentation of tools and services for individual and business customers.
The new platform also retains access to key CERT Orange services, such as the threat map, Mobile Sandbox, and CyberTarcza.
