Secure Migration to XbyK for Polish Bank Association
Client: Polish Bank Association (ZBP)
Location: Warsaw, Poland
Cooperation since: 2004
Project: Website implementation on Xperience by Kentico (XbyK)
Scope of cooperation: business analysis, UX, solution concept, HTML implementation, XbyK implementation, integrations, quality assurance, and security
Project Background
The Polish Bank Association (ZBP) is a self-regulatory organisation representing banks operating in Poland, established in 1991. Membership includes banks operating on the Polish market in accordance with national law.
The ZBP website plays a key role in communication with individual customers, member banks, and the media, providing up-to-date knowledge about the banking sector while strengthening the organisation’s image as a modern and reliable institution.
The existing CMS system – Kentico 11, originally implemented by our team during earlier cooperation for the www.zbp.pl website – required an upgrade. The vendor introduced a new platform version better aligned with current technological standards and digital trends – Xperience by Kentico – while announcing end of support for earlier versions by the end of 2026.
The migration therefore became a natural next step in ZBP’s digital strategy, aimed at modernising the platform, improving data security, ensuring operational stability, and enabling flexible future development.

Migrating the website to Xperience by Kentico marked another stage in the modernisation of the ZBP platform and a key step in maintaining system security and operational continuity.
The main activities included:
- CMS migration and upgrade – transferring content and functionality from Kentico 11 to Xperience by Kentico while preserving the existing content structure and presentation logic, and preparing the system for future upgrades.
- Maintaining an intuitive design compliant with WCAG 2.0 AA standards, significantly improving usability across devices.
- Adapting the advanced search engine and more than 30 presentation modules to ensure full compatibility with Xperience by Kentico.
- Comprehensive support in data protection and service continuity.
- Ensuring compatibility with existing BANK.pl tools and APIs, enabling automatic content import and minimising manual operations.
“Migration of our website to Xperience by Kentico was an important step towards ensuring an even higher level of security,” says Dr Przemysław Barbrich, Director of the Communication and PR Department at ZBP.
As a result of the migration, the website became a fully modern, secure, and scalable platform ready for further development and future educational and informational initiatives of ZBP.
